Reality check time: If you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a child, a spouse, a parent or a friend. 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes. Unfortunately, only about 46% of people who experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest get the immediate help that they need before professional help arrives.

Our CPR event is just around the corner and will will cover Adult, Child, Infant CPR, Choking and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Please tag your friends and neighbors to join us! Spaces are limited.

Hello! We have a three month old and I'm going back to work in August (school teacher at Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts). I had a daycare lined up, but this is a new job so I'm hoping to find a day care or home day care between grant park and Avondale estates. If you have any suggestions please let me know! ... Attention Parents
My daughter is 16 and is now looking to help some parents out in the summer with their little ones. She will love to take your child (ren) to the park for a couple hours to give you time at home alone, or watch your kiddos while you make arrands. My daughter name is Heaven and she's hoping to find a few families over the summer she can be a helping hand too. Shes fun and energetic, responsible, respectful, and absolutely amazing with children. She is in a few different camps she will be attending for college preparation, but on her down time, shes hoping to fill that time up with some fun activities with children. Her name is Heaven, shes bright and warming. You'll love having her around your little ones, as well as your little ones will love her. I ran a daycare for 8 years myself, where Heaven did crafts, book reading, food prep, and daily activities with the children. Shes wonderful. Her hourly price is 7 dollars an hour, which will go to her school clothes for the following school year. If you or anyone you know that can use a helping hand throughout the summer please DM me, so we can put your family on our schedule.
Thank you in advance

Dear Atlanta Parents,
The Laboratory for Darwinian Neuroscience at Emory University is currently searching for parents of infants from 1 to 3 months of age to take part in a paid research study.
During the study, we will ask you or your partner to change your baby into two different outfits that we provide. We will then record 30 second clips of your baby crying while wearing each outfit. We will never touch your child during the procedure, nor do we ask you to do anything to elicit the crying. The procedure requires approximately an hour of your time and parents will be compensated at the end with $50.
These videos will be shown to future subjects in an effort to learn more about the triggers for infant abuse.
For more information, please call (772)913-1560 or email me at leriche@emory.edu
Thank you!

Music in the Meadow w/Broyles St Band by The Justin Landis Group

June 1, 2017, 6:00pm - June 1, 2017, 6:30pm

The Broyles Street Band is a local cover band out of Grant Park. The Broyles Street Band can be found in parks, breweries, and block parties across town playing the funky side of the 70s up to today. A big thanks to our headline sponsor, The Justin Landis Group (JLG) who has helped more families buy homes in Grant Park than any other agent. The mission of JLG is to improve lives through relationships grounded in serving our clients, co-workers and community above ourselves. In 2016, JLG closed 230 transactions, received 250 referrals, and opened a 3rd Expansion location - Brookhaven, Grant Park, and Cherokee County. Earning referrals and providing opportunities for our team members are at the heart of JLG. Justin is a graduate of the Georgia Tech, where he was a President's Scholar and graduated highest honors with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Justin is married to Amaris, his high school sweetheart, and has two daughters, Maggie and Ellie. He is a resident of Grant Park and spends his free time cycling, running, traveling and hiking the next big mountain.
